I think Johnson is a good buy , young and will come good but got forced into first team tooo early. I think Werner on a free is a good deal

Even on a free Verner is never going to score goals

  3. You are most likely correct about that, but I hate to tell you again, Werner’s numbers are not much different to the other wide forwards and attacking midfielders at the club. So, at 15 mill, he would be a bargain. I consider him an upgrade over Johnson, and a better wide player than Kulusevski.

  4. Johnson is older than Saka and Martinelli. I doubt he will ever be good enough for the top end of the table.

I don’t think he was a good buy, other than as depth.

What a funny argument.all that tells me what I already knew that all our wide players are. No where good enough although Johnson could be if he got stronger l just because he is better than Kulu does not make him a bargain.I will say again dont waste money

Does anybody else think it strange that Ange has said he is not interested in coaching set piece defending what arrogance’s

  7. You need 6 forwards. Werner is better than Johnson and Kulu … he only costs 15 million. Sounds like progress to me.

  8. Of course they work on set pieces; they just don’t have a specialist coach.

I think someone needs to have a word to the keeper. He’s been exposed a number of times.

Ange has said on air that he does not work onset pieces and never has so who is right you or him

  10. I think you’ve misunderstood, or perhaps he did not explain himself clearly.

    To quote …

If I thought fixing defensive set pieces was the answer to bridging the gap then I’d put all my time and effort into that.

It’s something that we work on along with everything in our game.

    End quote …

Of course, there is work done on set pieces … there needs to be some level of organisation, even if it as simple as who goes forward and who stays back (it is more complex than that).

I think the keeper needs some protection. The Havertz goal should never have stood. There have been other occurrences of this illegal blocking as well.

Guys I hope this message finds you well! Rest assured we are working on set pieces. There are several set piece drills I picked up at Hull (Tom Huddlestone used to drill them in hard!!) which the guys are starting to take on board. Since the Chelsea defeat the guys never had a day off and we're straight back in that gym. I'm humbled by how much extra they've putting in. Pape is now bench pressing an unbelievable amount. LEVELS! I always make sure we're keeping the environment inclusive and I'll always be sure to fist pump all the guys every morning including u21's. I feel like there's some unnecessary neg vibes coming from the fanbase at this time of the season. I've assured Daniel that when Ange goes whoever comes in next will have my full backing and unwavering commitment. On a lighter note how about Eric's performances in Munchen! Sick! As I said to Eric on a face time sometimes a change is as good as a rest ..the same happened with me at Hull seeing those different perspectives and philosophies implemented. The sun is out in Liverpool this morning could be a good omen for us. Take care guys and as always WE GO AGAIN !
    Best
    Ryan

Hit the nail on the head “I think the keeper needs some protection”. Given the immense pressure he is put under, there should be a player with him at all times to deal with the backing in/standing in front that he gets. He is a big lad that has the strength of small child and is more flappy than a pigeon in those situations.

I do think Ange needs to put more focus on defending set pieces, a specialist coach might save us leaking goals which might change the outcome of games. I don’t think I can agree with Ange saying it won’t bridge the gap because a fair bit of the gap is caused by our defending abilities at set pieces (not that her would care).

Personally I don’t think Werner is worth £5m let alone £15m. He couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo so I would rather we blood some younger players or look for an alternative elsewhere. I think a road cone in the opposing box would cause more trouble.

Johnson is quick but his decision making and final ball are pretty much always cack. He is a very expensive sub so I would punt him long and hard too, as much as I appreciate the different faces he pulls each time he crosses into the crowd.

Kulu is another who doesn’t actually look like a footballer sometimes. He looks like an elite cross fitter, running around on a pitch without actually getting involved.

Poor Ange, he has got some issues to sort this summer or I dare say, he will be managing elsewhere next season at somepoint

No worries mate! I feel like we need to pull together instead of the content cloud of negativity. I feel like we need to get behind the guys till the end of the season. I feel like champs league still alive. Club shop still doing 15% all items for One Hotspur members. Grab a bargain for your summer hols! Sess has gone nuts in the armani sale fully geared up for his hols he cracks me up. He's even bought a full set of that luggage brand Richi keeps promoting! Promise guys we ain't rushing Sess back this time. He will be ready to go again next season COYS!

  16. Lol … another very funny post. At some point, you have to laugh about supporting this club.

I will say, if Ange is sacked next year, then I don’t see much hope for us for the foreseeable future. The guy has the right approach … we attack … if the players are cack (your word not mine), then so be it. A defensive, counterattacking manager ain’t going to do any better. Will just make us more painful to watch.

Spurs need to dig in if we are going to build anything of any substance.

  17. Haha … don’t ever leave the club mate. Pure gold.

No chance of that impostu! With Daniel being on the spectrum (not the one that Alan Sugar developed) he's knows he can't engage with the fans. I feel like Daniel sees me as taking a pivotal role in fan engagement and now Harry's moved on he sees me as the front runner to develop the "one of our own" brand. Keep an eye out for new tie ups! #beavertown

  19. Lol … you’re hired in perpetuity mate. If Daniel ever does sell the club, you’re part of the deal.

What the ****is Ange doing.Emmerson in again against Salah .Disaster.Then he insists playing Kulu on the wing where he has been **** all year and a midfield of Bissouma and Sarr who have been terrible for over a month. He really is out of his depth now.Why buyDrag and not give him a game is this the man to trust with our signings in the summer
